What is Panadeine 500mg used for?
WHAT ARE PANADEINE TABLETS AND WHAT ARE THEY FOR? Panadeine Tablets contain paracetamol and codeine, which are both pain-relieving drugs. By working on your body in different ways paracetamol and codeine combine to relieve pain. Paracetamol also helps to reduce temperature when you have a fever.
Does Panadeine make you sleep?
Codeine (in Panadeine, Panadeine Forte or Nurofen Plus), tramadol, tapentadol, morphine or oxycodone will make us sleepy, but they’re not recommended to treat insomnia.
Can I take Panadeine Forte on an empty stomach?
Maximum dose of over a 24 hour period is 8 tablets of Panadeine Forte, and 12 tablets for Nurofen. Do not take prescription pain relief medication on an empty stomach. Narcotic pain medication such as codeine may cause nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, itching or constipation.
Can you take paracetamol with Panadeine Forte?
(Do not take Panadeine Forte within 4 hours of taking Panadol). It is important to realise that there are many other types of preparations that may also contain Paracetamol such as cold and flu tablets and these should therefore not be taken in combination with the Panadol.
