What is Stilnox 10 mg used for?
STILNOX CR is used to initiate and maintain sleep in those with sleeping difficulties, also called insomnia in patients over 18 years of age. It is not recommended for use for more than 4 weeks at a time. STILNOX CR has a different chemical structure to other sleeping tablets.
Is it safe to take Stilnox every night?
Usually, STILNOX or any other medicines to treat sleeping disorders should only be used for short periods (e.g. 2 to 4 weeks). Continuous long term use is not recommended unless advised by your doctor.
How long does it take for Stilnox to take effect?
Dosage and strength
Zolpidem tablets come in 2 different strengths: 5mg and 10mg. The usual dose is one 10mg tablet, taken just before you go to bed. It takes around 30 minutes to work. If you’re 65 years old or over, or if you have kidney or liver problems, your doctor may start you on a lower dose of 5mg.
